Citizen Direct at India Together: Website logging RTI stories

Ashok Gupta was asked Rs 5000 bribe for a new electricity connection. He got one without paying bribe through the use of Right to Information. The road in Patparganj in East Delhi was completed after the people obtained copy of contract of that road. Triveni started getting her rations when she used Right to Information.

A number of people across the country are making a difference using Right to Information laws. www.righttoinformation.org is chronicling the some of the experiences. The website is setup to enable RTI users publish their own stories on. You can post your reports on what information you asked for using RTI, what problems you faced, what was the impact, etc. The site allows you to update your stories subsequently. The site also contains contact details of organizations and individuals in each state who may be able to help citizens on filing RTI applications.
